During this last week, cavnessHR was involved in several areas.
We continue to learn lessons on sales from all the great content that Close.io https://close.io
puts out all the time. One important thing we have not done yet is complete our Objection Management Sheet, which was provided to us by Close.io. It is a sheet where you fill out about 10 objections to your product. You then come up with 3-5 reasons to overcome those projections. We will need to complete this before we start doing our sales process.
We confirmed that cavnessHR will participate in the Green River College capstone program https://www.greenriver.edu/students/academics/degrees-programs/bachelor-of-applied-science/bachelors-in-software-development/ cavnessHR will have 3 of their senior students work on cavnessHR until June. This will be a great help for cavnessHR. They will all work for our CTO, Jeff McCoy who is currently getting his family settled in San Jose.
We attended New Tech Tacoma https://www.newtechnorthwest.com/events/new-tech-tacoma/ where we saw Robert Coons https://www.linkedin.com/in/robertcoons/ of Scout Military Discounts https://www.scoutmilitary.com/ give a great pitch. Scout Military Discounts makes it easier for people in the military to find discounts.
As we mentioned the last blog, we joined MBApierce as a way to learn more about the construction industry. One of the organizations under this is the Design Professionals. It is an organization based on design for the construction industry. We went to their monthly meeting and met some great people and made some great connections, We also spent some time talking to the communications manager for MBApierce on how cavnessHR can add value.
We had a meeting with a representative from the career employment office at the University of Puget Sound to see how we can recruit students from there for internships and paid positions in the future.

Along with having FB ads and using Twitter Promote, we are also using the new Google ads Beta. We are experimenting with all these methods to see which ones will work the best for cavnessHR. Along with using these paid ads, we continue to use FB, LindedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat
to organically reach potential customers. We also continue to use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to follow people and companies in the construction industry.
We applied to pitch cavnessHR on Gimlet Media. It is a podcast where founders pitch their ideas to a group of investors. I found out about the competition from a tweet that was posted by @joshmuccio. Here is the link to the pitch application, in case anyone else wants to apply as well. https://gimletmedia.com/thepitch/apply You can also tweet to @joshmuccio with any questions.
We went to the nucamp https://www.nucamp.co/ open house in Tacoma. nucamp is the first coding bootcamp in Tacoma. They will also have a bootcamp in Bremerton. I believe they have a great business model and will help many people learn how to code.
