This was another eventful week for cavnessHR. I really believe we are making progress and are moving in the right direction.
We had a meeting with a book keeper to go over our numbers. It was a great session as we received tips on how to properly document our spending. We learned how to categorize our spending in the right places. This was a great learning expenses as it is important to keep track of all your spending. This session is going to be a big help as we continue to refine our business plan and pitch decks.Plus making sure we pay are taxes correctly once we start taking in revenue.
Speaking of our business plan. We continue to refine our business plan. It seems like everyday we are making changes based on new information. To me this is an important document and well forever be changing. I also see our pitch deck as a document that will be forever be changing.
We have come up with a list of 24 companies to target as potential customers for cavnessHR. We came up with this list by using LinkedIn and Angellist to see which companies in the area have less than 50 employees. I realize that there are plenty of companies that are not listed on these sites.
We then used Email Hunter to obtain the email addresses for those companies. If a company did not have any emails listed. We deleted them from our list. If an email had less than a 50% reliability rate, we also deleted them from our list.
We are also reaching out to various office managers in the area. Since office managers are the ones who usually have to do all the HR when a company does not have dedicated HR. We want to talk to these office managers and find out their pain points. Then we want to discuss how cavnessHR can provide them solutions. I know we are going to receive valuable information from talking to these office managers.
After our meeting last week week with Micah Brown and our talk about FB ads. I decided to cancel our FB ad until we have time to do a better version.
We continue to do the cavnessHR podcast. The guests continue to be inspiring and they are adding lots of value. This experience continues to be loads of fun.
