Thank you for taking the time to read our weekly cavnessHR update.
We continue to focus on customer acquisition. We have been sending out cold emails using an email sequence using our sales platform. Right now we are only sending around 10 cold emails per day. That way we can continue to refine the emails. Right now we have a 40% open rate and a 20% response rate. Which is not that bad. Another thing we are doing for our customer acquisition is using google alerts. Whenever we send a cold email, we sign up for google alert for that company. That way if we get a google alert about the company, we have something to talk to them about.
We are going to do our first cavnessHR livestream on Wednesday, March 27 at 10 am PST. We plan on doing these weekly to talk about HR topics that are important to small business. For the first one we are going to talk about the drug free workplace act. You can watch our livestream at the following locations.

cavnessHR YouTube Live: http://bit.ly/2OloUsR
cavnessHR Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/cavnesshr

With the content from the livestream we will make the content for our weekly HR email newsletter and finally start sending that out. Right now we have a small email list of around 700. So we need to work some more to increase that number. We have made a point of making sure the people on the list actually want to receive our emails.
On a FML note. I accidentally deleted all of the cavnessHR social media content of our social media platform. So it took me a while to redo all of it.
We took part in the Bunker Labs Seattle https://bunkerlabs.org/seattle/ lunch and learn which was a pitch deconstruction. About seven of us did a one minute pitch, with two of the seven advancing to do a 3 minute pitch based on voting from the people there. We received some great feedback from Yoko Okano https://www.linkedin.com/in/yokookano/ Javier Soto https://www.linkedin.com/in/sotoseattle/ and John Sechrest https://www.linkedin.com/in/johnsechrest/ They all gave us some great advice/tips for our future pitches. So thanks to all three of them for taking the time to help us out.
We attended the Tacoma Chamber of Commerce Happy Hour event. https://business.tacomachamber.org/events/details/chamber-after-hours-happy-hour-business-expo-2019-11397 There were around 50 businesses there and it was a great networking opportunity for cavnessHR. Now we just have to make sure to do all the necessary follow up from the event
We attended the ribbon cutting for the Charles Kim Dentistry http://charleskimdentistry.com/ in downtown Tacoma. This was an event on the Tacoma of Chamber calendar. This is the first of many Tacoma Chamber events we plan on attending to help us spread the word about cavnessHR. Also to help us focus on companies within the Tacoma Chamber of commerce.
We were interviewed by Megan Torgerson https://www.linkedin.com/in/megan-torgerson-b7847bab/ of Business Impact NW https://businessimpactnw.org/ for an upcoming blog of theirs.
We received a demo from Payfactors https://payfactors.com/ Payfactors is a salary and compensation company that we are looking at possibly partnering with soon. Payfactors is working on a product to help companies with 49 or fewer people take care of their salary and compensation challenges. This will fit in nicely with what we are doing at cavnessHR.
The tech part of cavnessHR is coming along nicely and the new website should be available soon.
CavnessHR: Focus on your business, we've got your HR
Be Great Every Day!
