Another week of learning for us at cavnessHR.
We took the monthly Digital Strength course by HelloSign. This month the focus was on digital transformation.
As we talked about before we do a lot of volunteering at TAF. This week we were recognized by the Federal Way School Board for our efforts there.
This week we took part in the second part of the Stem Expo at TAF. During this part, the students are in groups and they present their idea for the Stem Expo. There were many interesting ideas. One that impressed me the most was the group who is going to try and charge a phone using electricity from a human body. If they could pull this off, I am sure they will be billionaires.
We have been learning a lot about Google Analytics and Google Data Studio and how we can use these tools to enhance cavnessHR. We even took the Google Analytics Academy course on beginning analytics.
We attended a session of the Ignite-U networking event. We had not been able to attend for awhile. There kept on being a conflict with my schedule. But this event is something I need to make an effort to attend in the future. Not many networking events have at least 100 business owners in attendance each time they meet.
We had our second software development meeting. Our CTO could not take part as he was driving cross country at that time. We have a lot of items to do on the tech side of cavnessHR. We are using Asana to track everything on the tech side for cavnessHR. Actually, we are using Asana to track everything involved in building cavnessHR. We are also using Slack as our internal communication tool. We have a significant backlog of items to accomplish for the tech side of cavnessHR.
This is the second week that instead of posting our social media every day. We posted it all at the beginning of the week. This has been working out great for us. It does take some time to do all the social media up front. But it is worth it to not have to worry about it for the rest of the week.
We continue to use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to follow people in the construction industry in the Seattle-Tacoma area. We also follow them on FB and other Social Media platforms. The challenge is that a majority of them do not post on Social Media. Or if they do, it is not that often. The plan is to start reaching out to them using LinkedIn inmails and asking them to connect starting next week.
We had great talks with two possible RISE interns from the University of Puget Sound. They are both very talented and would be a great help to cavnessHR. We told the RISE supervisor that we would like for both of them to do their RISE internship with cavnessHR.
We took the first steps in the process to switch from cavnessHR LLC to cavnessHR a Delaware corporation. We had a great talk with a lawyer that lots of people recommended to me.
One item we did not spend enough time on was customer acquisition. This is something we will need to fix next week.
