Emeka’s Bio

Emeka Alozie is a Principal at the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) covering the Northwest Region, bringing over a decade of experience driving startup success for emerging technologies from inception through seed and Series A stages. 

Before joining DIU. Prior to joining Transpose Platform VC, a global formation-focused fund, as a Director of Marketing, he served as the Director of Marketing and Partnerships at IntuitiveX. This medical incubator and accelerator launched three FDA-designated Breakthrough Devices. 

He also held the position of Director at the Founder Institute, where he supported the launch of Seattle and Western Canada pre-seed startups. Mr. Alozie is currently a Co-Chair of the Seattle Human Rights Commission, appointed by the Mayor, which focuses on addressing human rights issues within Seattle. 

He is also a member of the Seattle Police Department (SPD) Crisis Intervention Committee and the SPD African American Community Advisory Council to improve community relations with police. 

As an advocate, he supported the passing of WA State HB-1946, which focused on providing mental health support for underserved communities and was a National Delegate for the State of Washington for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election. He recently founded The Living Bread, a non-profit focused on bringing together all those who believe in the name of Jesus Christ and building the Kingdom of God on Earth. 

He was an Entrepreneur-In-Residence and Venture Advisor at 360 Social Impact Studios, a non-profit incubator dedicated to supporting underrepresented founders, and was a Board Member and Partner at Seattle Social Venture Partners. 

A social innovation accelerator for nonprofits and for-profits seeking more scaled and sustainable solutions for social impact and environmental good, and supports the Climate Justice Grant Cohort and related initiatives. 

He participated as a venture scout for NexCubed and has served as a mentor at a16z Talent and Opportunity, UW CoMotion, gener8tor, and Techstars, supporting founders. He has spoken on entrepreneurship and startups at the University of Washington Foster Building and Startup Hall.

Everyone, whoever you are, the world is bigger than your perception of it. Your belief of life is not life. I'll be honest, your belief of life is not life. Because why would life give you that opportunity? Life? 

Life wants more. Life demands more all the time. Life wants life to continue. You're not that. Not life, you're not life. You're not life. 

I can tell anybody who's listening. Believe in yourself. You've all been called. Everyone's been called, called in what way you might be asking. Called in a way in which you might recognize that you're more than how you perceive yourself. More than how you exist now, more than this very rigid way of perceiving your identity, of who you think you are.
