cavnessHR Weekly Update for December 4, 2019
For this past week, cavnessHR did the following.
We continued to work on building out our email list. After going through it again, we are now at around 1500 emails. As a reminder, for our customer acquisition, we are focusing on small companies with 49 or fewer employees from the following organizations.
Tacoma Chamber of Commerce https://www.tacomachamber.org/
Business Impact NW https://businessimpactnw.o
Bunker Labs Seattle https://bunkerlabs.org/our-locations/seattle/
As part of what we do for Business Impact NW https://businessimpactnw.org/ we are helping to mentor one of the businesses that they help. This business is ABC Towing https://www.abc4atow.com/ We have had some great discussion on various business topics.
We started taking coding classes at Nucamp coding academy. https://www.nucamp.co/home We are taking CSS, HTML5 and Javascript. We figure if we are going to be a founder of a HR Tech Startup. We should probably learn the basics of coding.
We continue to meet with people on a daily basis about cavnessHR. We will make the official announcement in January. But we have someone to do our Marketing. So that is going to be a great help.
Our CTO is being moved from Silicon Valley to Colorado by the Air Force. He is going to be leading a very exciting software development program for the Air Force. So he really has not been able to do much recently for cavnessHR. As he moves his family and gets settled in Colorado.
We attended the December Marine for Life Seattle Monthly event. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/marine-for-life-seattle-friendly-networking-event-december-3rd-at-630-pm-registration-52038022125 This is a monthly event where Veterans transitioning network with companies hiring. I have said this before, but to me, this is the best Veterans networking event I have ever attended. We attended in order to help SM Diversity http://smdiversity.com/ with their open positions.
