For the previous week:
We continue to refine our competitive analysis and pitch decks.
We did our first cavnessHR live stream. These cover HR topics important for companies with 49 or fewer employees. We live stream to FB, YouTube, Twitch and Periscope. We use the audio from the live stream to make our weekly email newsletter. The newsletter includes the transcription and the video from the live stream. For our first email newsletter, we had a 28% open rate.
We attended the Bunker Labs Seattle https://bunkerlabs.org/seattle/ Veterans in Residence (ViR) https://www.wework.com/veterans-in-residence Launch Party for Cohort 3.
We continue to focus on customer acquisition. Of the cold emails we have sent out using our sales platform, https://close.io we have a 40% open rate. But only a 7% response rate. So we need to go back and refine our email sequences. We also forgot to do A/B testing on our emails for Close.io. We also forgot to do A/B testing for our email newsletter.
We had a great meeting with members of our team to talk about ways to reach out to future potential customers. We also talked about ways to improve our social media strategy and our branding. Then we discussed ways to better utilize our connections with the Tacoma Chamber of Commerce https://www.tacomachamber.org/ Business Impact NW https://businessimpactnw.org/ Bunker Labs Seattle https://bunkerlabs.org/seattle/ and Masters Builders Association Pierce https://www.mbapierce.com/ Especially since these are the organizations we are focusing on for our initial customer acquisitions.
A big thanks to Christina Brennan https://www.linkedin.com/in/brennanchristina/ for all the help at our meeting.
We signed up for Dux-Soup https://www.dux-soup.com/ as a way to help us with our lead generation on LinkedIn. Basically, what it does is it takes your search and automates it. So instead of you manually looking for leads, Dux-Soup does it for you. What is great is that it does it at about the same speed as a human. That way LinkedIn does not kick you out. Because as we all know LinkedIn is very anti 3rd party platforms. In order to use all the resources of Dux-Soup, we had to sign up for LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Sales Navigator is pricey. But the first month is free and hopefully, we can get all our lead generation done before having to pay for too many months.
As part of our WeWork Labs membership https://www.wework.com/labs we submitted for and received $20,000 in Google Cloud Platform credits. Because of this, we spent the last week on the tech side transferring everything over to our new platform.
