One more week of building cavnessHR and transforming the HR consulting industry.
We presented at the Boots2Business course on JBLM for Bunker Labs. https://bunkerlabs.org/our-locations/seattle/ We talked about how Bunker Labs helps Veteran Entrepreneurs and applying for the next cohort of Veterans in Residence in Seattle. We also talked about our journey as a Veteran entrepreneur and then answered their questions. The main thing we wanted to get across was that being an entrepreneur is not easy. That you can't expect to become an entrepreneur and the next month start making lots of money. We will be doing these talks once a month.
We took part in the SBA Veteran Business roundtable. This was an event hosted by the Seattle SBA and Business Impact NW https://businessimpactnw.org/ that focused on Veteran small business owners. We talked about the importance of HR and answered their HR questions.
We attended a Growth Marketing Virtual Summit that covered advanced lead generation strategies. There were several useful sessions and we learned a lot about how to use growth marketing later on for cavnessHR
We attended a HR virtual summit hosted by BambooHR and Glassdoor. This summit was quite useful and provided some great info for us. As we have said before, HR is always changing and we have to keep up with all of these changes. Especially, as we plan on being a national HR company.
We continue to meet with potential customers, attend networking events and talking to people about the value cavnessHR can bring their small business.
We had our weekly business dev meeting. We continue to look at ways to improve our customer acquisition process. We are also continuing to refine our email list and learn everything we can about our sales platform Close.io https://close.io We are also looking at redesigning our email templates on our email campaign manager platform SendGrid. www.sendgrid.com To improve the UX/UI on them.
We are doing research on possible investors who might be a match for cavnessHR. We have the list down to 100 possible investors in the Seattle area who might be a match. Now we are going through to see which ones are connected to through other people. We are using LinkedIn and Angelllist for this research.
We had a great meeting with one of our Board of Advisors, Dr. D. Anthony Miles. We talked about several items. To include short term and long term planning for cavnessHR and how best to reach out to possible investors.
We sent our Board of Advisors a detailed break down of how we would spend any money raised through funding.
We are pitching this Wednesday at 1Million Cups in Bellevue. So we have been preparing on that. We are looking to improve on our last pitch at 1Million Cups Seattle.
