Attempting to obtain votes has become a full-time job. I have sent FB messages to all my FB friends. I have sent individual messages to all 4625 of my LinkedIn connections. That was painful. I have either called or texted all my phone contacts. I have pushed out on my social media platforms 3 times a day a posting asking people to vote for cavnessHR. Then I have been doing personal videos on Snapchat, Instagram and FB once or twice a day. I think we have done all we can do to obtain the votes we needed. We were in 13th place yesterday and right now we are in 9th place. It seems like most of the increase in votes from cavnessHR are coming from our LinkedIn connections.
We also have people sharing our posts about voting and helping us get the word out about voting.
Which we really appreciate.
We read our Corporate By-Laws again. Just trying to wrap our minds around all the legalese in them. We redid our cap table based on providing our CTO more equity in cavnessHR.
We had our monthly check-in with the Veterans-in-Residence program. Once a month we meet for about an hour or two and talk about what we have accomplished and what we need help with to help build our companies. It was a great session.
As part of the ViR program, I am responsible for bringing in our speakers. This last month we had Leo Novsky. https://www.linkedin.com/in/leonovsky/ He is an executive communication coach and startup catalyst. He is also Executive Director of the ReStartup Academy. Which helps people being released from prison become entrepreneurs.
He gave us a great presentation on how to prepare and give a pitch. Then he spent time helping one of the ViR members, Brenda Wilson https://www.linkedin.com/in/brenda-wilson-59bb8713/ by breakdown of how she should do her pitch.
We continue to reach out to people we believe we would be great additions to the cavnessHR team.

Also a UX/UI designer, Sales, Marketing, Social Media and HR. If you ever wanted to help build a company, this could be your opportunity.
We had a great meeting with one of our board of advisors. We talked about the way ahead for cavnessHR. Red Ocean, blue ocean strategy. He gave some great advice on our pitch decks and pointed out items we had not thought about.
At cavnessHR, we are very fortunate to have a Board of Advisors. I really don't see how other startups operate without one.
We also obtained another customer for cavnessHR.
Finally, please take time to remember all the people that lost their lives today back in 2001 and how that day has permanently changed the world we all live.
