At cavnessHR, we did the following this past week.
Business Building Blocks
We continue to reach out to Payscale competitors to see if they will share their API with us. This is actually becoming quite frustrating. Several companies have not replied to us. Or they say they will get back with us and they don't. We even jumped on a chat with one company and nothing. I mean at least answer our questions.
We completed lesson 7 of the HelloSign Digital Transformation course. This lesson covered transforming your digital space from the ground up.
We are working on a one-pager for cavnessHR that will show potential customers exactly what we do at cavnessHR.
We had a great call with a VC. He gave us lots of great advice and it was very valuable to us. As we said before we want to build as many relationships with investors as possible.
We continue to follow up with the people we met at the 2018 NY Venture Summit. So far, three people, we met there have agreed to be guests on the cavnessHR podcast. We will continue to work on building relationships with everyone we met there.
We had another meeting with our business coach from the Business Impact Northwest pitch competition. We continue to refine our market research, business feasibility and our financials for the competition.
Preparing the Pitch Deck
We continue to refine our pitch decks. Once we have them in a good place where we think we can share them. We will show them to our Board of Advisors to receive their input.
We have completed our competitive analysis on 14 of our competitors. This will be very useful to us in the future. As a reminder cavnessHR has 7200 competitors. From one person HR consultants to companies like ADP. One item we learned is that most of them have horrible websites.
Reinforcing Relationships
We are working on closing two potential customers. But like we tell everyone. We are not selling candy bars, so it takes time to close a potential customer when you are selling them HR products/services/advice.
We continue to meet with people to see if they would add value to cavnessHR and to see if cavnessHR would add value to them as well. We had several great conversations with people this past week.
Finally, as a thank you to our interns. We took them to a Tacoma Rainiers baseball game. That was lots of fun for everyone.
Below is our talk with Darren Austin on the cavnessHR Podcast. Darren is a consumer product executive who helped pioneer many of the innovations in technology that we take for granted today - including e-commerce, mobile apps, social messaging, location-based products, and cloud services.
