Pitches
We attended the 2018 New York Venture Summit last week.
We met lots of great people and attended some great panels. It was a great learning experience. There are lots of people attempting to execute on some great ideas. This was time well invested for cavnessHR. We will follow up with the connections we made at this event. We were also provided the names, emails and phone numbers of all the Startup founders that attended the summit. So that will be of great use to us in the near future. We also have a few VCs who are interested in being guests on the cavnessHR podcast.
We had a meeting with our business coach from the Business Impact NW pitch competition. He gave some great advice and we are making refinements to our documents that we have to submit for the competition.
Product
We continue to see if companies who provide salary and compensation will provide us their API. We have only been able to receive an answer from two of the companies. Both have said they would not provide us their API.
We continue to refine our sales process and will soon begin our cold calling and cold emailing campaigns. We also continue to work on our competitive analysis.
Progress
We took part in a SHRM webcast so we can continue to keep up to date on HR subjects for our professional development.
Myself and the cavnessHR CTO are currently talking to some developers and some design people to see if they would add the required value to cavnessHR.
Below is our talk with Heather Mattisson on the cavnessHR podcast. She has over 15 years of Product Management experience. She recently joined the Global Diversity and Inclusion team at Intel as a University Partnerships Manager.
