I have had a lot going on in the last few months and I just wanted to provide everyone an update. After retiring from the Army, I took my first “real” job. However, because of various factors, I made the decision that the position was not a good fit for me. So I am now in job search mode all over again.
What’s next: I am looking for the right opportunity that fits for both the company and myself. I have also started a company that will assist Founders and new business owners with HR until they hire their own dedicated HR. I have a lot of work to do on this before it is ready. I plan on working on becoming a better husband and father and becoming more involved with my entire family. I will also become more involved in my community. I will be blogging about my second job search, starting my own companies and other items.
What can I do for you? Is there any assistance that I can provide to you? I have plenty of time for coffee meetings, lunches or just general conversations about HR, Startups, business and other subjects.
A form to tell me what I should do next: This link will allow you to tell me what you think I should do next.

If you come across any job leads that you believe are a good fit for me, please send them my way.
Thank you!!! I want to thank everyone who has helped me in the past and who will help me in the future. I especially want to thank Sree Screenivasan @sree for inspiring me to take this approach to my job search.

Benefits Specialist at Trident Seafoods
Jason is our solid go-to HR person who works at a remote area in Alaska. The plant has a lot of seasonal employees, and Jason has been extremely instrumental in streamlining the healthcare eligibility process under the Affordable Care Act regulations and 401k eligibility. He is an extension of the Benefits team at HQ in Seattle, and I feel confident that the Benefits function is being administered properly under his leadership. Jason also asks a lot of questions to make sure he is administering these initiatives timely and accurately. The Benefits team at HQ is very fortunate to have Jason represent the Sand Point plant, and his professionalism and knowledge allows us to focus our time and energy in other Benefits related areas of our company

I worked with Jason at MyUnfold. The first word that comes to mind to describe Jason, is dedicated. He'll bring in the same energy day in and day out for as long as is needed. He's ever-present and he's the type of individual we all aspire to be: open-minded, courageous, dedicated, and most of all, kind. And that readily translates to the workplace.

Jason provided the team a wealth of knowledge and equity in building our Human Resources division. He was an exceptional teammate who you could always count on and also engage in conversations of strategy of our business development and operations. He instantly brings value to the team along with his abilities to engage with others and help raise the bar of company culture and operations. I would totally work alongside him again given the opportunity.

In the field of Operations and Human Resources, Jason is among the best in the business. His military background only adds a structured backbone to his approach. Jason is as at home in the trenches, mentoring and guiding a team through operational needs, leadership, and standardized protocols - all while executing with aplomb. While working along with MyUnfold, Jason belonged in the “executive room” with the leadership team, serving as the corporation's senior-most counsel on matters from influencing military/veteran perceptions to operational documentation and best ways to establish a company culture that can scale. I benefited from Jason’s leadership in countless ways and learned more from him than I'd care to admit. He approaches everything he does with tenacity, grit, and a constant sense of humor … best of all? He never cracks under pressure (and the pressure was hot on more than one occasion). If Jason ever teaches a class on executive leadership in corporate leadership + operations, I'll be in the front row taking notes.

Jason's leadership and vast Human Resource experience led the Human Resources organization to better productivity and a higher level of customer service. His knowledge of personnel management helped to ensure employees were placed where they were needed most and each individual's talents would best serve the organization. Jason's efforts helped to transform the organization from one that served 2000 employees to one that served over 4200 employees all the while ensuring the executive leader's intent and mission was met. Thanks to Jason and his management skills, the Human Resources section always met it priorities and goals. Jason would be an asset to any organization.

Jason is a talented and hard working HR professional. I had the privilege and honor to be his boss for two years. During which I would challenge him with some of the most difficult tasks and was never disappointed with his results. Would serve with him again in a moment.

Having worked with Jason for over two years, I can attest to his excellent work. Jason's strengths lie in his ability to determine the necessary skills to meet future missions and make sure those people are in place to accomplish the upcoming mission. Jason is organized at all times and possesses an uncanny ability to exercise his network to fill urgent needs. He will be an excellent choice to fill an HR position practically anywhere.
