Alan’s Bio

Alan is a software engineer and founder with over ten years of experience in the software industry in startups and large corporations.

Alan earned his bachelor's degree in computer systems engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya, an MBA specializing in Leadership from the University of Washington Bothell, and a Master's of Science in Entrepreneurship from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.

He has been Co-founder and acted as CEO of multiple organizations, first at an e-commerce SaaS startup and then at omegaUp, a non-profit that focuses on software engineer education for Latin America, and most recently at DevMatch, an online platform for running coding challenges that reflect real-life situations.

Alan worked as a software engineer at Microsoft for nine years in various teams, including Windows, Engineering Systems, and Supply Chain.
