a long slog in the mud
Being a founder of a startup, building a company or whatever term you want to use seems like a long slog in the mud. Then to make it worse instead of having your boots on, you have on your shower shoes.
It is also like having 4th down from your own one yard line. With one second on the clock. You have not gained over 10 yards in one . . .
podcasting editing hell
This week has been podcast editing hell for cavnessHR. We significantly underestimated the time required to edit these podcasts. We didn't realize how often people use space fillers, repeat the same word over and over or breathe heavily or just make sounds that I am sure they would not want on the podcast. Plus the fact that we are using . . .
the pace is picking up and some great news
The pace for cavnessHR is picking up. As I said last time, the more we do, the more we need to do.
We did not make it to the final 8 for the Business Impact NW pitch competition. We finished 14 out of 22 on the voting part. Then the judges decided that our scores on the rubric was not high enough to over come the 14th place finish. . . .
another eventful week
This was another eventful week for cavnessHR. I really believe we are making progress and are moving in the right direction.
We had a meeting with a book keeper to go over our numbers. It was a great session as we received tips on how to properly document our spending. We learned how to categorize our spending in the right places. . . .
